S.D.I.D: Homemade Part Two
S.D.I.D - Homemade Part Two - [Self-released]

2006-10-23

Man, what a fucking mess. S.D.I.D (Sadistic Demons Infiltrate Denmark) create a combination of every metallic genre known to man, they combine male and female vocals, use industrial elements and thrash riffs, to cut a long story short – these guys throw in everything but the kitchen sink.

It's actually quite a misfortune, there are some interesting riffs and nice melody lines in this salad, but it's hindered by a horrendous sound, female screams that make no sense and a total lack of direction, and the strangest thing about it all – it seems to be intentional! I mean, just looking at the cover of this thing it is quite clear no one with eyes could have approved it. Still, the band used that as the cover, chose a terrible name for itself, so either they're crazy or they have a very, very cunning plan which I can't understand. There are some nice hooks in here, "Again And Again" has several of them and is off to a good start, but the usual mess ensues, especially with the aborted opera attempt in the middle...

This reminded me of old demo cassettes we used to exchange during the 80's, only the music has industrial and modern elements that make that impossible, these guys seem to be able to play, but man, they need to lose the female screaming, and decide WHAT are they playing…
