Where Angels Fall: Dies Irae
Where Angels Fall - Dies Irae - [EdgeRunner Music]

2005-07-11

"Dies Irae" is the first mini CD from the Norway band "Where angels fall". If you like Nightwish, Epica and After forever and likes of this, then it's time to pay attention so you can be properly introduced with the next great new band in the genre.

"Where angels fall" is a five piece metal band, with a lead vocalist called Eirin Bendigtsen, Andre Benditsen in charge of guitars and programming, Kristian Anderson on bass guitar, Tom Remi Flygel on synth and programming and Ole Kristian rocking on the drums.

Like bands mentioned earlier this band is also a metal band with symphonic influences and a female vocalist, there is a very strong classical vibe in most of the parts, backed up with lots of background vocals and intensive synth work.
Here you won't find aggressive brutal grunts, but you'll definitely find another level in their music, I will dare and call it a mix between sophistication and creativeness.

The lacking side of this mini CD is its production, which was the only settlement the band had to make because of the high production costs that in the time of making this album were a bit out of the bands reach, but promises has been made that when their full LP will come out, the production will improve by much, and then I believe it will be easier to understand the full power of this band.

The album will definitely give some good quality time to the genre lovers and hopefully everyone will give it the time it deserves to soak it in and see the greatness of this band.
