Century Media Records is proud to announce a new marketing and distribution deal with Mediaskare Records. The label, founded by Baron Bodnar, has defied the odds upon its inception and thrived within the underground metal scene. The company, spearheaded by Silent Civilian and As Blood Runs Black, has developed a unique niche within the scene and continues to develop a slew of new talent. This new partnership with Century Media Records now provides Mediaskare a new platform and the necessary resources needed to bring themselves to the next level.
“Mediaskare is one of the most committed labels out there right now when it comes to the A&R process and how they treat their bands. It was a no brainer for us to speak to Mediaskare in regards of taking them to a new level,” says Ray Harkins from Century Media, who alongside one of the co-owners of Century Media, Robert Kampf, was instrumental in reaching this agreement.
Bodnar (CEO of Mediaskare Records) further comments: “Ever since I had to special order EYEHATEGOD in 1993 Century Media has been one of my favorite labels. I am blown away by how they have brought the heaviest of underground metal to the forefront of the music business. Now being part of a winning team like Century Media is the opportunity of a lifetime for Mediaskare. Not only does it give me the ability to expand my label, but a chance to learn from the best in the metal/hardcore business. Most of all it gives me the autonomy to focus on my major talent (finding and developing new artists and working hand in hand with them on their careers). I have known several people on the staff for sometime now and they have always been the coolest people to work and hang with at shows. When I finally sat down for a meeting with Robert Kampf, I realized all of the parallels in our musical tastes, as well as life in general. After that I knew without a doubt that I was in the right company.”
The first release under this new deal is scheduled for April 15th and features the much anticipated debut full-length offering from the Los Angeles based quintet, THE GHOST INSIDE. The new disc, Fury and The Fallen Ones, is a scathing blast of furious, in-your-face hardcore inspired metal as the group prepares to hit the road throughout North America with the likes of Heaven Shall Burn, The Warriors and Stick To Your Guns. The second release storming out of the gates is from the Minnesota based brutal death/tech outfit WITH DEAD HANDS RISING slated for an April 29th release. These boys are ready to take on the extreme metal world with their Mediaskare debut, Expect Hell.
