Razorwire: Lethal Dose
Razorwire - Lethal Dose - [Psychophonic Records]

2010-04-16

It's always great to here a punk influence in English bands. No matter what you are doing in rock-n-roll; if you are in an English band there is always some space for that touch of punk. Razorwire is an interesting mix between hardcore, rap, punk and metal. But I keep hearing the punk influence in the songs and I think its great because they manage to implant it without losing their combination of music.

Razorwire was formed in the beginning of the 21st century, and have released several albums since then. Their music has received moderate success in the underground scene. A lot of credit can be given to the bands guitarist, Dan Peach, who founded their label Psychofobic, and has been the one responsible for the "Godless Festival" in Stoke-On-Trent.

This album is basically an assortment of the bands music, and I think they made the right choice by doing it live. The album is taken from several gigs the band did around England, and is a powerful demonstration of the bands live ability. Actually I think they are better at their live shows than in their albums. It sounds very aggressive, and I can easily imagine myself in the middle of the craziest mosh pit just by closing my eyes while listening to this album.

The bottom line is that Razorwire has nothing new to show us, but they are good at what they do, and I suggest you check them out. I am pretty sure they will be kicking ass around Europe's summer festivals very soon.
