Charlie Khan: How we Divide the Cake
Charlie Khan - How we Divide the Cake - [Villainous Records]

2008-01-03

Charlie is an eccentric fellow that tries to sound and present himself to be even more eccentric. Together with two other musicians, this London crew creates music that can only be described as neurotic alternative rock/pop.
The band's first album - "How we Divide the Cake", is full of shifting moods that relate to the variety of song themes, ranging from dementia, love, betrayal and even politics among others.

Production of the album does not try to conceal or add anything, and sounds well for a debut album of an Indy label in London.
Charlie’s British accent and singing ability does the job, and the music is pleasing at times, but leaves a taste for more at others.
Recommended tracks are- "Friends Like These", "You're Telling Me" and "Prettiest Thing".

Enjoy this one.
