See You Next Tuesday: Parasite
See You Next Tuesday - Parasite - [Ferret Music]

The Dillinger Escape Plan started out this mess, and now we all have to pay.
It seems every label has its own psycho-core band these days, I've just heard Metal Blade's Psyopus and they walk the same path, but these guys take it further, much further. This is grindcore with added-jazz-noise core/metal with barely room for a short breath.

There's certainly a good amount of humor in the song titles, with such memorable lines as "Before I Die I'm Gonna Fuck Me A Fish", but there's no chance in hell I'm gonna understand what the hell is that guy really screaming about.

Musically you get the picture the minute the album begins, it's all high-octane madness here, with fast and manic drumming, some impressive (if certainly) unmelodic smart riffing, and screams and shrikes that should tear your eardrums inside out, you get the picture – it isn’t easy listening.
Though described as a grindcore band, these guys are quite far from what you'd expect from the genre, there's definitely something sharper, more out-there than your regular, run-of-the-mill grind band, but I can't really decide if that a good thing..

By the way, if you don't like the band's name – just add up the initials. And approach with caution, these guys can, and will – bite your balls off.
