Nominon: Remnants Of A Diabolical History
Nominon - Remnants Of A Diabolical History - [Pulverised Records]

2007-02-12

And you thought oldschool Swedish death metal was dead… you’re wrong.
Sweden's Nominon have been creating quality death metal since 1993, and though they didn’t break as bid as some others, such as Entombed and Dismember, it seems they did some things right - they never sold out, never changed, and are still going on strong.

13 Years after they began, with but two full length releases, it's time for a sort of a collection, actually a combination of unreleased tracks, different versions of released songs, and one Voivod cover, so it's not really a new album, but it's still a great way for new fans to know the band, and older ones to get some stuff they didn’t have before from this great band.

The music? There's not much which can be said, it's old Swedish oldschool death metal, dirty and mean, with a pinch of hardcore crudeness, in short – It's like early Entombed. Even the sound is exactly the way it should be, meaning – oldschool.
There are no bad songs here, just bad attitude, these guys create some of the most violent and ruthless death metal created anywhere today.

Don’t ask too much, if you like death metal the way it should be made, just get this; you might end up with some blood in your ears, but it's worth it.
