Streetlight Manifesto: Keasbey Nights
Streetlight Manifesto - Keasbey Nights - [Victory Records]

2006-09-13

To quote a phrase from Jason X: "This sucks on so many levels".

This album is basically a re-recording of third-wave ska-punk band Catch 22's successful debut album – Keasbey Nights, done by Catch's 22's original singer and current Streetlight man Tomas Kalnoky, changed is the production, Kalnoky's voice is a bit more mature, but overall it's the same thing.

Now, I'm not much of a ska lover, the bass and drum playing is nothing short of amazing, and the guitar playing is also interesting, but I think trumpets should be banned, and people who blow into them as well. So basically this album annoyed the crap out of me.

The Bottom line is that I don't know what extras it bought to the original, which is considered a classic of its kind, so this kinda makes this a wasted effort in my book, and that's about it.
