Brittan's Deviated Instinct have created some of the earliest crust-punk known to man, starting out in 1984 and carrying on until 1991, several well-regarded albums through legendary Peaceville Records, the womb from which such greats as Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema have emerged.
The main difference between these bands and Deviated Instinct is that Deviated were Shit, no use sugar-coating it, these guys couldn’t play to save their lives, they were a bunch of drunk, disorderly British punks who somehow managed to artificially prolong the band's life through its 7 year career. This CD collects one 7 Inch and 2 LP's who's main connection is they all sound bad.
Crust and old school hardcore/punk fanatics may be drawn to this like flies to shit, but to me this is definitely unappealing, I grew up listening to such bands around that time, and for the life of me I cant understand how could I put up with such crap, sorry guys, no unsung classic here.
