Bullet: Heading For The Top
Bullet - Heading For The Top - [Black Lodge]

2006-08-03

Imagine yourself up on a bike, doing a 100 miles an hour, all the while holding a bottle of Jack Daniels while slurping from it widely, clinging to your back is a bleached, silicone topped babe, holding on to your dirty jeans, on the double speaker system plays the debut album from Bullet, a band that brings Old Judas Priest and original AC/DC albums back to life.

These guys know what they're doing, hard hitting rock n' Roll, fine guitar leads with a steady bass-line, the vocalist is doing a mean Bon Scott/Brian Johnson impersonation and sparks fly when he sings such overtly metal anthems as "Turn It Up Load" and "Speeding In The Night", this is the meaning of Rock N' Roll.

There are some different touches as well, not just AC/DC, the first track has some early Judas Priest moments, British Steel area, with a track such as Speeding In The Night sounding similar to Judas Priest's Freewheel Burning.

It's all just simple minded fun, but the band rocks with the best of them, I wouldn’t suggest the opening bike/Jack Daniels/silicon scenario, but you get the point.
